The necklaces were presented to Lyudmila Putin and Vladimir Putin through the presidential administration in 2003 and 2007. It is unknown if they were worn by her or not as it is difficult to confirm their status since presidents do not give provenance. They were later sold privately to The Tamoikin Family. It is known that other necklaces from this jewelery artist are for a fact in the Lyudmila Putin’s collection and she has wore then publicly. By the amazing craftsmanship it does appear that their background is true. With care we limited to naming them just – Russian Presidential Collection. The Jewellery artist, Yuri Belik, who created these necklaces became very famous in 2002 National Jewellery Exhibition in Moscow. His jewellery artworks are know all over the globe and are especially popular in Russia, Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
