Kim Kardashian is engaged! Definitely the big news of the week, but we did have clues, since she was spotted looking at rings, but the bling was even more than we would have ever expected! The proposal was quite romantic as well, Kardashian walked into her bedroom, and there, New Jersey Net, Kris Humphries was on bended knee, with Will You Marry me written out in rose petals. Talk about romantic.
The couple have not been together long, 6 months, but we all know that Kardashian was feeling a little bad about her sisters having such a huge personal life, one with a baby and the other already married.
There is a lot of healthy competition between the sisters for sure, and now we can see that Kim has won the latest engagement ring battle. Khloe has a huge 12.5 carat ring worth $850,000 dollars but Kim, oh, well, this one blows it out the water. Humphries proposed with a jaw dropping 20.5 carat ring worth a cool $2 million.
Kardashian had an idea of what ring she wanted:
“In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same.”
Humphries designed the ring with famed jeweler Lorraine Schwartz and tells us that he just wanted to make sure it was big! Kim says its the most beautiful thing she has ever seen, and we can guess that, it is huge! The ring set in platinum is has a center diamond, emerald cut, that weighs in at 16.5-carats, it is then adjoined by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids which brings the grand total to 20.5-caratsunreal. Although the ring does not beat Beyonce’s $5 million dollar ring or Elizabeth Taylor’s enormous diamond from Richard Burton, it is still one of the biggest diamond we have seen in a while.
I can’t even begin to imagine how diva like this wedding will be. I will not be surprised if this couple beats out Donald Trump’s wedding. Never one to be shy, and always into bigger and better I have no doubt in my mind that Kim will be walking down the aisle in a one of a kind dress, and you know what, if Humphries rides in on a horse, it still won’t shock me.
