To Whom It May Concern:
A very good friend of mine just got engaged. After a long and tumultuous relationship which she ended, she finally met the man of her dreams on a trip to Kenya, of all places. They got engaged and four days after getting her engagement ring sized, their sublet was broken into and many things, including the yet uninsured ring, were stolen. She is a musician and her fiance is a PhD student, so there is no way they can afford a replacement.
She is devastated over this very personal loss, and I cannot think of someone to whom winning this free ring would mean more.
