Festival season is in full swing around the country. In south Louisiana alone there is one somewhere every weekend. Don’t believe it? Check Clarence’s List. There is far more than even I thought we had. Some big ones just finishedJazz Fest in New Orleans, Festival Internationale in Lafayette, and the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. These festivals tell us something about what the hats vendors need for festivals in 2012.

I thought Id share a peek at some of the jewellery Ive been making this week!

These pieces were photographed just before going into the tumbler overnight to be made bright and shiny. Some will be left that way, while others will be given a brushed finish or will be gilded with gold foil.

Most of this jewellery and several other pieces are heading to Urban Cow Studio in Adelaide.

Loll Designs Wallbanger Outdoor Bar

The Loll Designs Wallbanger is essentially an outdoor version of the Urbancase Emergency Cocktail Station we highlighted back in August of 2011 sold for roughly half the price. Urbancase designer Darin Montgomery worked with the modern outdoor furniture manufacturer on the Wallbanger, named after the famous 1950s mixed drink invented by Duke Antone, to make outdoor cocktail shindigs just as hassle-free as the indoor variety. Besides storing spirits, barware, and other sundries, the hinged panel door also pulls double duty as a work surface for mixologists who go above and beyond.
